Unlinking tags from a document

Unlinking a tag from a document removes the reference to the tag so that the document will no longer appear on the Linked Documents page of the tag in the maintenance management system.

To unlink a tag from a document:

1. Select the document to which the tag is linked that you want to unlink.
2. View the tags that are currently linked to the document as described in Viewing linked tags. Confirm that the tag that you want to unlink is listed.
3. Click Manage Links. The Manage Document Links dialog box appears.

4. Select the tags that you want to unlink and click Remove Link. The tags are removed from the list.

   OR

   Double-click the tag that you want to unlink. The tag is removed from the list.

   Tip    Press and hold the Ctrl key while clicking to add or remove tags from your selection. Press and hold the Shift key while clicking to select consecutive tags.

5. When you are finished unlinking tags, click Close.
